Madeline

Inspired by Lily Allen’s Madeline, this kinetic typography music video explores the tension between two voices through contrasting typefaces, color, and movement. Drawing from Swiss editorial design, I used restrained compositions alongside curved 3D typography, variable fonts, and distortion to reflect the song’s shifting emotions. One of the biggest technical challenges was creating a sequence of gunshots that progressively shattered the typography and eventually the background itself. The process taught me how to balance expressive motion with readability, and how much impact a moment of stillness can have.
